Hello!

We are SV - one of Swedens study associations - and this is the website for our biggest field: music!

Soon, this entire website will be available in English. Until then, we hope the information below will suffice.

We are active all over Sweden and we help more than 2200 music groups and bands across the entire country with for example:

Rehearsal spaces where you and your friends can focus on your music together.
Studio recordings.
Finding gigs so that you can perform you music live in front of people. For example, we collaborate with music festivals and have our own clubs – both in Sweden and in the Nordic coutries.
• Material and equipment such as drum sticks, guitar strings, PA speakers for the rehearsal room etc.
• Education and courses.

Our help is free of charge or costs very little – our job is to make it easier for people to meet and develop together. All you have to do is contact us and tell us where you live and what you need help with.

Sounds too good to be true?

Contact us and we'll tell you more: hej@svmusik.se, or use the form below.
You may write to us in your own native language.

SV’s history

In one of history’s most famous speeches, Martin Luther King, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, declared ”I have a dream …”. His dream was that of the equal worth of all people.

SV (in Swedish: Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan) was founded in 1967, just a few months before King’s assassination, at a time when racial equality and the equal worth of all people was one of the burning issues of the day. In SVs study circles today, social equality is still one of the cornerstones of our approach to education.

SV is always close by – our three hundred local offices make sure of that. Everyone is welcome to our study circles, and everyone learns from everyone else. The novice, the veteran, the old lady, the young boy, the girl with the foreign background …

The secret lies in bringing them all together. We welcome all genders, ethicities and music genres to us, and it doesn't matter if you are a rookie or a pro.
